In what appears to be an attempt to insure that employees of Delta Airlines get vaccinated, the company has indicated that effective November 1st, premiums will increase and reduce the number of sick days allowed if Covid-19 is contracted for employees who are not vaccinated.

The company indicates that the average hospital stay for a Covid-19 patient costs $50,000. "This surcharge will be necessary to address the financial risk the decision to not vaccinate is creating for our company."

In addition, starting September 12th, any employee who is not vaccinated will be required to take a weekly Covid test.  Masks will also be required for all indoor settings for unvaccinated employees.
